PROJECT "PHILIA"

The artistic project "PHILIA" is intended to be one of the many examples of the significant "Open Theatre" programme that Teatro21 carries out within the Caritas Canteen, through social theatre for inclusion and community work. It is a welcoming smile at the beauty of welcoming and being welcomed. Beauty that lies at the heart of knowledge, strength, love, eternity, splendour and creation. It is an affirmation of the fraternal bonds of friendship, fellowship and community of purpose that are established in giving relationships.

The composition, consisting of the central mural 'PHILIA', which takes the name of the entire project; the STUDIO work 'TEATRO21', which represents the preparatory and investigative phase of the mural's realisation; and the two lateral works; was conceived with the aim of making all the creations interact and dialogue with each other, in a dynamic space and time. Its particular workmanship 'through the use of combined and differentiated materials, colour functions, mosaic elements, painterly features' and graffiti charged with symbolism, plays an essential role in the scenic rendering and communicative power of the artist.

Murales “Philia”

In the suggestive diffuse luminosity, generated by the mosaic inserts, made from the shards of plates, cups, and glasses, and utensils present in the canteen, which become elements of unity and sharing, PHILIA is placed.

PHILIA is the circle, the centre that facilitates homogeneity and cohesion, the absence of division and distinction.

PHILIA is a letter T of protection and victory, impossible to realise without self-sacrifice.

PHILIA are the open arms, outstretched to include, to integrate and not exclude; to open treasure chests of wealth and knowledge, to fill hearts with mercy, to show the welcoming face of those who know how to understand and help.

PHILIA builds bridges to overcome pain and break down isolation
